School in a perfect world... Hmmmm.

School in a perfect world would consist of small classrooms. Small classrooms and more teachers because one on one is very important. Kids thrive off attention and when there's 30 or so kids there's a slighter chance of getting it. Also, with smaller classrooms kids could connect with their classmates easier. Make it easier to get to know them.

School in a perfect world would consist of virtual classrooms. Some kids have a hard time dealing with things and just aren't comfortable. But what choice do they have than to just sit there and deal with it. With virtual classrooms kids could learn exactly what their friends are learning, so they wouldn't feel uncomfortable when they brought up school.

School in a perfect world would consist of more days like Inspired. Like, perhaps once every three months? One day just doesn't seem right. I think kids should be reminded as much as possible, as many times before it gets annoying. We all deserve the chance to be taught things other than the reason sky is blue is due to Rayleigh scattering. (yes I googled it...)

Bottom line; all kids learn differently... And I think that schools should think about to that, instead of generalizing us all into one group.

I believe that I will become the future.

As we are the newest generation, I believe that I will become anything and everything my hearts desire. At the time and place we are in history there are so many options for me. So many opprotunities, and chances to do what I want, to become the next president, or the next Bill Gates, or Steve Jobs.

I also believe I am strong enough to become these things. I believe that I can achieve these things because I want to, and not for anyone else. I believe there will be no, "I can't's" and I won't let anyone convince me that it isn't possible, because it is.

I believe that anything I set my mind to I can and I can do right, and I can see it through to the end, and make it matter. Make sure I matter. Make sure what I do and what I acomplish and what I create matters.

Alzheimer's Disease

Some basic facts about Alzheimer disease are;

  • it's the underlying cause of death in 70% of all cases
  • it was not until 1901 that German psychiatrist Alois Alzheimer identified the first case of what became known as Alzheimer's disease in a fifty-year-old woman he called Auguste D.
  • Alzheimer's is predicted to affect 1 in 85 people globally by 2050.
  • In 2006, there were 26.6 million sufferers worldwide.
  • Alzheimer disease is the most common form of dementia.
  • There is no cure for the disease.
  • It worsens as it progresses, and eventually leads to death.
  • Most often, AD is diagnosed in people over 65 years of age, although the less-prevalent early-onset Alzheimer's can occur much earlier.

I believe that our dance should be Neverland.

Theme
Not only is Peter Pan my favorite movie, but I think the idea of living in Neverland is everyone's dream. To always be young, and be forever young right? Our class is very great. We deserve this.
Decorations
I think decorations could be, like, night sky and such. Also London-esque (because the Darlings were from London, obviously.) And, again, a photobooth could be a silhouette of a London skyline.
Specialties
I will bring my .... I don't really know, I guess. I'll bring what I can... what I always bring. Or a potato... I might bring an extra special potato.
